Discover how DXTech is moving beyond repackaged Western models. Explore the proprietary R&D, including RoDE and Per-loop LoRA, that makes DeepX v1.0 the most efficient Vietnamese enterprise AI on the market.
Introduction: The Illusion of “Local” AI
If you look closely at the enterprise Artificial Intelligence market today, you will notice a recurring theme: much of what is marketed as “groundbreaking local AI” is actually just a repackaged Western model. Many developers simply take an open-source framework built in the US, feed it a translated Vietnamese dataset, fine-tune it slightly, and quickly deploy it to market.

While fine-tuning works fine for basic customer service chatbots, it catastrophically fails when businesses try to deploy AI for high-stakes, rigorous tasks. If you ask a fine-tuned Western model to retrieve a highly specific liability clause from thousands of complex Vietnamese legal contracts, it will likely give you an inaccurate “hallucination” or crash your server trying to read it.
At DXTech, we realized early on that to solve the enterprise infrastructure crisis, we couldn’t just put a fresh coat of paint on someone else’s engine. We had to build a completely new engine from scratch. The result is DeepX Embedding v1.0, a highly specialized, sub-1B parameter model that recently shattered the performance record on the Zalo Legal Text Retrieval benchmark.
But the real story isn’t just the benchmark score. The real story is the proprietary “magic”, the exclusive architectural inventions, that makes this performance possible without bankrupting your IT department.
To understand the magic, we first have to understand why standard AI fails so miserably in the corporate world.
The Enterprise Pain Point: The Memory Trap and “Lost in the Middle”
Every Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and business owner faces two massive roadblocks when adopting AI for document search (known as RAG systems).
The first roadblock is the Memory Trap. Most modern AI models rely on an architecture called “softmax attention,” which suffers from what mathematicians call quadratic complexity ($O(n^2)$). In plain, everyday English, this means if your legal contract doubles in length, the computational power required to read it doesn’t double—it quadruples. If a 10-page document takes 1 unit of server memory, a 100-page document takes 100 units. When processing a 50-page joint venture agreement, traditional AI eats up so much RAM that servers simply crash unless the company invests hundreds of thousands of dollars in massive GPU clusters.
The second roadblock is the “Lost in the Middle” phenomenon. A landmark 2023 study by researchers at Stanford University and UC Berkeley mathematically proved that standard AI models suffer from severe reading fatigue. If you give an AI a massive document, it successfully remembers the very beginning and the very end of the text, but it completely fails to retrieve information hidden in the middle.
DeepX v1.0 bypasses both of these crippling issues. By utilizing a Gated DeltaNet-2 (GDN-2) linear attention mechanism, DeepX processes documents at $O(n)$ complexity. Whether your document is 512 tokens or 8,192 tokens long, the memory usage remains perfectly flat and constant.
But replacing the memory trap was only step one. To truly map the Vietnamese language with forensic precision, DXTech engineers had to invent two entirely new mechanisms to make this lightweight model as smart as the heavyweights.
Magic #1: Per-Loop LoRA (Curing AI’s “Depth Collapse”)
To keep DeepX v1.0 incredibly lightweight and affordable for businesses to run, we utilized an architecture called “Hyperloop weight sharing”.
To understand this, think of a massive, heavy AI model like a giant factory assembly line with 35 different stations (called layers), each manned by a different worker. It is highly effective but incredibly expensive and bloated to operate. Our Hyperloop architecture, instead, uses just 9 unique “elite workers” (parameter sets) who pass the data through a loop repeatedly to simulate 35 passes.
This saves massive amounts of memory, but it creates a fatal flaw known in the industry as Depth Collapse. If the same 9 workers read the same document 4 times with the exact same mindset, they develop blind spots. The outputs eventually become identical, and the AI effectively loses its depth and understanding. It is like reading the same chapter of a textbook five times in a row; eventually, the words just blur together into noise.
The DXTech Contribution: To solve this, our R&D team engineered Per-Loop LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation).
In DeepX v1.0, every single time the data goes through an iteration loop, it is assigned a unique, lightweight “adapter” (applied simultaneously across entire 5-layer blocks).
Returning to our analogy: we keep our 9 efficient workers, but every time the product circles back to them, we hand them a new set of specific instructions. They look at the data through a completely different lens. The shared base weights provide a strong foundational understanding of the Vietnamese language, while the Per-Loop LoRA ensures every single computational pass retains a unique, sharp identity.
This proprietary method allows DeepX to maintain the deep, nuanced comprehension of a massive, billion-parameter model while staying astonishingly lean.
Magic #2: RoDE – The AI’s Internal GPS
There is one more problem with looping data. If you force an AI to loop through complex legal data 35 times, it gets dizzy and disoriented.
Standard models use something called RoPE (Rotary Position Embedding), which is basically a map that tells the AI where a specific word is located on a page. But in a looped architecture, knowing the word’s position isn’t enough. The AI needs to know how deep into its own “thought process” it currently is.
The DXTech Contribution: To fix this disorientation, our engineers invented and introduced Rotary Depth Embedding (RoDE). To our knowledge, utilizing rotary embeddings to encode depth in weight-shared architectures has never been proposed before in any global scientific paper.
Think of RoDE as an internal GPS for the neural network. By applying a second mathematical rotation onto the attention mechanism based on the loop iteration index, RoDE explicitly tells the AI exactly “how deep” in the network it currently resides.
When you combine Per-Loop LoRA with RoDE, the magic truly happens. These two exclusive DXTech contributions work in perfect harmony to ensure that every single pass through the shared layers behaves differently, preventing collapse. The result is an AI that reads deeply, never gets confused by repetitive loops, and maps the microscopic nuances of Vietnamese legal jargon flawlessly.
The Proof is in the Performance
Proprietary R&D is only valuable if it delivers tangible business results. For DeepX v1.0, the metrics validate the engineering.
When tested on the industry-standard Zalo Legal Text Retrieval benchmark—a notoriously difficult dataset containing over 61,396 Vietnamese legal documents—DeepX v1.0 achieved an nDCG@10 score of 0.8162.
Not only did it establish a new State-of-the-Art (SOTA) record for sub-1B parameter models, but it crushed the previous SOTA record (0.7813) by an impressive +3.5 points.
Furthermore, because the architecture is so efficiently designed, the entire model was trained on just two standard NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti gaming GPUs in roughly 600 hours.
Even our tokenizer (the system that chops words into data format) was custom-built from scratch. Containing 186,046 vocab tokens, we aggressively optimized it by removing unused language scripts like Arabic, Thai, and Hangul. This meticulous engineering reduced the embedding size by 29% compared to generic multilingual models, saving enterprises even more database storage without sacrificing any English or Vietnamese quality.
Why Proprietary R&D Matters to Your Business
For a business owner, CEO, or everyday end-user, reading about linear attention and depth embeddings might feel overly technical. But the commercial translation of this “magic” is very simple and directly impacts your bottom line:
-
Massive Hardware Savings: Because DeepX uses $O(n)$ linear attention and a sub-1B architecture, you do not need to rent $100,000 cloud servers to run your enterprise search. It can run on highly affordable, local hardware (requiring as little as 4GB of VRAM for inference).
-
Absolute Data Sovereignty: Because it is lightweight enough to run locally on your own machines, your highly confidential legal contracts, HR records, and business data never have to be uploaded to a public cloud AI API. Your data stays yours.
-
No More “Hallucinations”: Because of our exclusive RoDE and Per-Loop LoRA technologies, the AI doesn’t suffer from memory collapse or reading fatigue. When you ask for the penalty clause on page 42 of a massive vendor agreement, it finds it instantly and accurately.
At DXTech, we firmly believe the future of Vietnamese AI cannot rely on simply borrowing Western algorithms and translating the data. True enterprise solutions require deep, proprietary problem-solving at the architectural level. DeepX v1.0 is proof that when you build the engine specifically for the task, the results are nothing short of magical.
